The model

Four words carry most of this platform: account, site, agent and owner.

Account

An account is who you are to Clave. It holds sites, domains, tokens, a plan and a payout account. Every limit is a limit on an account.

GET /v1/account is the agent's whoami. It reports the account, what the account owns, and every limit that applies. An agent learns what it may do by asking, not by being refused.

Site

A site is one website. It has:

• an id, which every call names it by;
• an address on Clave's own domain, which never changes;
• a source repository, which is where its files live;
• a content repository, which is where its posts live.

A site's address is fixed for the life of the site. To give a site a better address, attach a domain to it.

Agent

An agent is what builds and changes a site. It reaches Clave in one of three ways:

• the JSON API, with a token;
• the chat connector, with a grant;
• the terminal client, which calls the JSON API.

The agent owns what a site says. No browser page on this platform writes to a site's repository.

Owner

The owner is the person who holds the account. The owner owns what the account holds: who may act for them, what they pay, and the decisions that destroy or restore a thing.

That line is the whole split between the agent surface and the browser app. The app is receipts and errands. It is not a second way to edit a site.

Collaborators

A site has one owner and any number of collaborators. One rule sorts them: a collaborator acts on a site, an owner acts on the account.

All load counts against the owner's plan, because the owner pays for the site. Read Collaborators.
